We are thrilled to announce that a new Greek dining gem, Lefkes Estiatorio, has opened its doors just off Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, right in our own backyard! With three established locations in Greece and one in New Jersey, Lefkes Estiatorio has made its way to South Florida, offering a fresh take on modern Greek cuisine with deep roots in traditional flavors.

Located in the prime spot of the former Delray Food Hall, the decision to repurpose this space into three unique dining bays was a strategic move by the landlord. This new layout provides a more intimate and dynamic dining experience, aligning perfectly with the vibrant energy of Delray’s culinary scene.

Lefkes Estiatorio, founded by Anastasio Dumas in Athens in 2004, is renowned for its innovative approach to Greek dining. The restaurant’s name, “Lefkes,” meaning cottonwood, pays homage to a massive cottonwood tree that was incorporated into the original Athens location’s design, creating a unique and memorable dining atmosphere.

After successfully expanding across Greece and making its mark in New Jersey, Lefkes Estiatorio has chosen Delray Beach as its next destination. The choice to open in this location reflects the restaurant’s desire to be part of Delray’s rapidly growing reputation as a culinary hotspot.

Lefkes brings a taste of Greece to Delray, with a menu that includes signature dishes such as herb-marinated, wood fire-grilled lamb chops (paidakia), flaky sea bass (lavraki “bronzino”), tuna tartare, and zucchini and eggplant chips. The Delray location also adds its own twist with a stronger emphasis on sushi, featuring eight signature rolls and incorporating tropical flavors like mango and coconut into select dishes.

In addition to its diverse menu, Lefkes Estiatorio will also offer an impressive selection of Greek wines, including the highly rated Boutari Assyrtiko from Santorini, and popular Greek beers like Mythos and Fix. The restaurant promises to bring the lively spirit of Mykonos to Delray Beach, with a vibrant nightlife scene featuring top DJs and special performers every Friday and Saturday night.

We believe this new addition will not only add to the vibrant culinary landscape of Delray Beach but also bring a slice of Greek culture and flair to our community. It’s exciting to see such a renowned restaurant group choose Delray Beach, reflecting the area’s growing appeal as a destination for both locals and visitors. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Lefkes Estiatorio and are excited to have this exciting new concept in our neighborhood.
