Moving to Palm Beach County with his family in 1984, Randy has had the privilege of watching South Florida transform into one the most diverse and sought after culinary and business landscapes in the country. His knowledge of the area, along with his extensive hospitality background, understanding of the industry, and desire to provide exceptional service to his clients make him a natural fit for The Prakas Group.

Randy first fell in love with the hospitality industry while attending Palm Beach Lakes High School where he enrolled in the work study program and, at the age of 15, landed his first job working concessions for Ogden Services at the historical West Palm Beach Municipal Baseball Stadium He continued working for Ogden during spring training and as a busboy at local restaurants throughout the rest of high school.

Immediately following high school, Randy enlisted in the United States Navy and became a proud member of the Navy’s elite Submarine Force. While serving, he began taking college courses in business and quickly realized he had a passion for both the hospitality industry and business development. After his service, Randy returned to South Florida and, with a focus on building a career in hospitality, enrolled at a local bartending school. His hard work and determination quickly paid off and Randy would spend the next few years tending bar at some of the area’s hottest cocktail lounges and night clubs including Champaign’s, Country Nights, and Splash Beach Club.

In 2002, Randy fell under the tutelage of South Florida Restaurateur Michael Nadeau and Chef Anthony Modica where he would learn fine ding service techniques, vastly expand his wine knowledge, receive culinary training, and eventually move into management of Michael’s Sonoma Grille. This experience became the foundation of a career that would include leading top performing restaurants for Tampa based Shell’s Seafood, the Palm Beach’s own Park Ave BBQ, and as Director of Operations for Thinkgusto Restaurant Group. Wanting to finish the bachelor’s degree he started while serving, Randy enrolled at Lynn University where he would major in International Business.

Armed with this education and years of hospitality experience, he has worked with both domestic and international investment groups to bring Palm Beach County new and exciting concepts from around the country and internationally. Some of these names include The Counter from Los Angeles, 100 Montaditos from Huelva, Spain, and Brooklyn’s iconic Junior’s Cheesecake.
